Overview
The central ritual of the Feast of Pachamama or Mother Earth is the Challa or payment to her, which involves an act of reciprocity. Although it is popular everywhere on the first day of August as the main day, it is, in fact, practiced throughout the month, and in many places also the first Friday of each month. The ceremonies are made by the elders within each community. For the Quechua people this person is called a Pacco (Wiseman).
At the time of the Incas, this was a very sacred ceremony. According to the chronicles, very special offerings were made. Today there are still people who are practitioners of this knowledge, who are practicing the true ancestral knowledge. We offer an experience with one of these Masters, a ritual which lasts approximately 4 or 5 hours.
Day One : Cusco – Tinqui – Upis
This is the best of the best in terms of ceremonies for Mother Earth. Our ceremony is performed in one of the Inka temples close to the temple of Moon near Cusco. Before we do this ceremony, we have a preparation with an Andean Priest which lasts about two hours. Our Inca ancestors performed this ceremony in this sacred place.
